A dedication to the dedicated.

Shelby, in purple, braves Sunday's weather at the Irvington Farmers' Market.
Here’s to all the truly dedicated Farmers’ Market vendors and our fellow soggy patrons. Neither rain nor wind nor mid of day shall keep us from our appointed heirloom tomatoes.

Farming isn't quaint. A vendor gets soaked while chopping brussel sprouts.
Our shopping list included ingredients for a few upcoming soups: potatoes for a leek soup we’re making today, shiitake mushrooms for some hot and sour soup, also apples and a red onion to have around.
Big thanks to our sushi vendor for bundling up against the rain, so we can get our fix. The bakery vendor gave us a free coconut macaroon for coming out in the cold.
Wet weather market tip from our apple guy: Stand in the middle of a tent, not where two tents meet, even if you think you’re covered. Water collects in the joints and then releases in surprising down pours.
